We can confirm we are complying with the government's guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19.
So what are we doing:
How does this affect our customers:
We are keen to do all we can to protect ourselves, our families and our customers. It is for this reason we have taken a fairly risk adverse approache to being COVID-19 safe. It has always been common for the vast majority of our customers to simply ask us for the products they are looking for rather than browsing themselves. As a result we did not feel standing behind a screen at our normal counter in what is a fairly small and well stocked shop was going to allow everyone to social distance as we would probably be out from behind the screen more than behind it. We therefore decided that setting up a counter in the doorway and serving customers from behind a screen would work well as we have a great knowledge of the products we stock and can continue to provide our personal service. It also reduces the contact with products and therefore reducing the possability of transmission on products. We appreciate that some people will be disappointed that they will not be able to come in and browse in store but currently feel this is the best way for us to continue trading safely. To help those who like browsing or want a better idea of the different products we stock we have started working with a company called Near St. They list all the products we stock and submit it to Google helping high street shops sell more locally. It enables you to view and search those individual products and you can click here to view our Near St Page and Google Storefront.
We will continue to review our processess and how we trade on a regular basis to ensure we play our part in keeping everyone safe.
